Nguyen Dinh Giang’s background is in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics with multiple industry-related internships, from a stint as an MEP engineer in a Manhattan office to one summer doing HVAC design in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Giang left the academic world (plus a nanotech research paper) early to build a chocolate startup, then pursue work in the crypto industry full time (after the chocolate business is chugging along fine). He is hands-on with all the projects and connections down to the deepest level if need be, having designed and built both the chocolate machines and the candy bars themselves for his Gilli Chocolate workshop. In the same vein, he custom-designed the Binance 2020 Anniversary gifts and the chocolate bars within (retweeted by CZ Binance himself!) In a sense, he is a generalist with a tech-edge.
His experiences in MEP and HVAC engineering include iterative machinery designing, technical writing, and copywriting, as well as a few years of managerial experience from shift group leader up to manufacturing overseer. In his engineering roles, Giang has designed and built/oversee from HVAC systems, firefighting, and plumbing systems to heavy machinery and industrial processes.
On the other hand, having been in crypto since 2014, as an active member from the early days of the Vietnamese blockchain community, he has been in positions from Cobo Wallet Country Manager to Binance South East Asia Key Account Manager, helping hundreds manage their portfolios and direct them to a fitting crypto trading platform. Currently, he is still the leading edge of an English-speaking crypto community on Facebook as well as a Vietnamese-only crypto community on Telegram, sharing trade signals and crypto happenings to over 14,000 people daily and maintaining close relationships with large traders and local financial institutions/groups that he has acquired through his work experiences.
Giang spoke in the 4th event of Blockchain Hanoi.
